The Mega Food Park at Cherthala, implemented by the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation, was jointly inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, and Union Minister of Food and Processing Industries, Pashupati Kumar Paras. The Union attended the programme virtually. KSIDC spent 128.49 crores on 84.05 acres of land in Cherthala for this project.P. Rajeev, Minister of Industries, coir, and Law, presided over the function held at Cherthala Pallipuram. Agriculture Minister P. Prasad was the chief guest. AM Arif MP, Daleema Jojo MLA, Alappuzha district Panchayat President K G Rajeshwari, Suman Billa IAS (Principal Secretary, Industries, and NORKA), KSIDC Managing Director, S. Harikishore IAS, Alappuzha district collector Haritha V Kumar IAS, and several public representatives and officials attended the function.
