Technology Centre Systems Program (TCSP), a World Bank and Government of India co-funded program, has been envisioned to help Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India in the key industries to become more competitive by acquiring improved technologies and employing better skilled workers. The Ministry of MSME through the O/o Development Commissioner (MSME), intends to upgrade and expand the network of existing 18 Technology Centres (TC) and setup 15 new TCs that provide support to MSMEs by providing access to latest technology, skills and consultancy services. This will help develop a manufacturing eco-system in India to help improve the competitiveness of MSMEs in key manufacturing industries such as General Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Precision Manufacturing and ESDM.
Among the 15 new TCs, the MSME Department has approved to set-up a Technology Centre at Angamaly in Kochi. Ernst & Young (EY)(Project Management Unit) has prepared the DPR for the project after various consultations with the stakeholders in Kerala. The proposed Technology centre will focus on General engineering sector. The total cost estimated for the for the project is Rs.111.35 crores ( 1110.35 Million).
This Technology Centre will include facilities for:

The site is identified at Angamaly (behind TELK) in Kochi and the land was handed over the Director, MSME Development Institute Thrissur during June 2017.
The design for the project is prepared by M/s Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd. MSME Department has invited tender for construction of buildings for the Technology centre (about Rs.60,000 Million) and the contractor is yet to be appointed.
